About Me

Victor Vaquero on a coastal cliff trail

I'm a Computer Engineering and Statistics double graduate from the Universidad de Valladolid, and I've been building software professionally since 2020. My path started in data science — predictive modeling, risk analysis, clinical research — before moving into data engineering, where I now spend most of my time turning messy, large-scale data into something people can actually trust and use.

At Redslim I work on massive data processing pipelines for retail sales data, using Azure, Spark and Databricks to clean, harmonize and enrich information at scale. Before that, I built ETL solutions for marketing and media analytics at Alamo Consulting, and before that, risk models and dashboards for banks at Management Solutions. I like owning a problem end to end, from a raw dataset to a dashboard someone opens every morning — which is also why I've picked up front-end and cloud infrastructure skills along the way rather than staying in one lane.

Outside of work, I climb as often as I can. I'm based in Vigo, Spain, and I'm always up for a new technical challenge or an interesting problem to dig into.
